Room's Point Heritage Site is located in Blanc-Sablon, on the North Shore. In the 17th century, this site was the largest sedentary cod fishing station in the region.

The De Quetteville Company, based on the Channel Island of Jersey, used this fishing station from 1785 to 1885. The word "room" is an English Canadianism meaning "fishing station" or "trading post."

Room's Point Heritage Site has been classified as a heritage property by the Ministry of Culture and Communications.

Le site historique du cap des salles est situé à Blanc-Sablon, sur la Côte Nord. Au 17e siècle, ce site était la plus grande station de pêche au cabillaud sédentaire de la région.

La Compagnie De Quetteville, basée sur l'île de Jersey dans la Manche, a utilisé cette station de pêche de 1785 à 1885. Le mot "room" est un anglicisme canadien signifiant "station de pêche" ou "post de traite".

Le site historique du cap des salles a été classé comme propriété patrimoniale par le Ministère de la Culture et des Communications.
